Read minds
In psychology, mind reading refers to the elicitation or interpretation of the other person's thoughts on the basis of eye movements , gestures , facial expressions , linguistic expression or appearance as well as using questioning techniques or suggestions .
The goal of mind reading is to get to information that the other person has thought but not expressed in words.
Colloquially, "mind reading" is also used for telepathy .
Neuroscience also deals with mind reading. Brain researchers use it to describe the attempt to recognize certain patterns in activations of the brain that provide information about the thoughts or experiences of a test person.
