Memorial Hall for Chairman Mao
The memorial hall for Chairman Mao ( Chinese 毛主席 紀念堂 / 毛主席 纪念堂 , Pinyin Máozhǔxí Jìniàntáng ) is located in the Chinese capital Beijing and is one of the youngest buildings on Tian'anmen Square . This Memorial Hall serves as the mausoleum of Mao Zedong , in which his body is laid.
The building has been a memorial of the government-immediate city of Beijing since 1979 .
