Salary band

The salary band is the range from the basic salary through other salary components such as bonuses and other monetary benefits to the upper limit of the remuneration for an activity. The purpose of the salary band is, on the one hand, to provide the employee with a binding basic wage and, on the other hand, to give the employer the unilateral opportunity to set performance-oriented additional remuneration.
