Geisweider cemetery

The Geisweider cemetery is a cemetery in the district Geisweid in Siegen .

In the Geisweid district, which is characterized by the regional metalworking industry, the cemetery is on Wartburgstrasse, with a view of the Geisweid slag heaps and the steelworks.

The site, on which there is also a cemetery chapel, is 68,000 square meters and consists of 7,500 graves. About 130 burials take place every year. At the edge of the cemetery there is a memorial to the victims of the First and Second World Wars.
