description

The individual structures of the community center are grouped around an inner courtyard, which can be entered through a gate on Collenbachstrasse and through a gap on Klever Strasse . The building was built from 1929 to 1930 according to plans by Heinrich Rosskotten and Karl Wach in the style of New Building . The main building with the community hall is a flat cube. The cube of the main building shows seven tall, narrow rectangular windows. The shape of the cube emphasizes the horizontal. The basement is clad in dark marble. The community hall on the first floor was originally accessed via two wide stairs from the left and right. In the east of the parish hall there is a high gallery, which was built over an adjoining small hall. The ceiling of the community hall shows a simple gradation. On the west side of the community hall there is an elevated stage area. The entrance to the main building is formed by three portals that show a marble surround.

The cube is connected to the church building by a two-story, saddle-roofed connecting wing. The connecting wing has a roof height that is adapted to that of the cross church choir. The inner courtyard can be entered via a gate in the connecting wing. There is a four-story building on the right side of the main building. There are group rooms, apartments and offices.
