Public offense
In Germany, a publicly dangerous crime is an act that endangers the life, health or property of an indefinite number of people (including uninvolved people) (e.g. arson, dangerous interference in road traffic). The Criminal Code summarizes the publicly dangerous offenses in §§ 306 to 323c under the section heading Publicly dangerous offenses .
The public offenses include:
- Arson offenses (§§ 306a-306f)
- Causing an explosion using nuclear energy (Section 307)
- Causing an explosive explosion (Section 308)
- Abuse of ionizing radiation § 309 StGB
- Preparation of an explosion or radiation crime § 310 StGB
- Release of ionizing radiation § 311 StGB
- Incorrect manufacture of a nuclear facility, Section 312 of the Criminal Code
- Causing a flood (§ 313)
- Public poisoning (§ 314)
- Dangerous interference in rail, ship and air traffic (Section 315)
- Dangerous interference with road traffic (§§ 315-315d)
- Endangering road traffic (§ 315c)
- Drunkenness in traffic (Section 316)
- Predatory attack on drivers (Section 316a)
- Full intoxication (§ 323a)
- Endangerment of an addiction treatment (§ 323b)
- Failure to provide assistance (§ 323c)
