Gena (insect)

The Gena (Latin for "cheek"; plural Genae) designated in the insects , the side section of the head capsule below the compound eyes and the vertex (apex), rearwardly closes occiput to. The areas of the occiput (back of the head) that lie behind the genae are called postgenae.
