It is located in Evry-Courcouronnes .

Genopole has a threefold task:

  • Development of a research campus for genomics and post-genomics with a focus on gene therapies in synergy with the University of Évry ;
  • Encourage the creation and development of biotechnology companies through appropriate health, environmental, agronomic and industrial support.
  • Creation of a biotechnological park in Évry-Courcouronnes / Corbeil-Essonnes in connection with the research campus.

In 2018, the biocluster brought together 17 academic research laboratories, 87 biotechnology companies and 20 scientific and technical platforms in one place, which are shared around the University of Évry and whose scientific areas enable high-level education in life sciences.
