Geo-ecosystem

from Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

The geo-ecosystem is the system resulting from the interaction of geofactors .

A basic component in the model of the geo-ecosystem are geo-elements that act as storage, regulators or processes. The geo-ecosystem is a very complex structure of effects. The complexity is so great that only models can describe the structures and processes. Its purpose is to grasp the regularity of real objects and processes.

Each geo-ecosystem represents a section of the geosphere . This can be characterized using the individual geofactors, which in turn are determined by the geo-elements. In reality, the geo-ecosystems have been greatly changed by humans. Therefore, models of geo-ecosystems are created that include the influence of humans and enable the question of the extent to which they are "disruptive factors".
