development
Geography has been concerned with tourism since the beginning of the 20th century. In 1905 the term "tourism geography" first appeared.
Interdisciplinarity
Since tourism science is characterized by great interdisciplinarity, it is difficult to make boundaries within this science. There is a risk of overlap in all sub-disciplines, which can, however, produce new insights.
