Georges Lang was a Swiss football player who played football from at least 1905 to 1910 and was under contract with FC Winterthur and FC Torino .

biography

Lang formed a successful storm duo with Jacques Reich at FC Winterthur in the period after the rise in 1905 and was part of the championship team from 1906 and 1908. From November 1907 to April 1909 he was also club president of FC Winterthur. At the Sir Thomas Lipton Trophy in 1909, one of the first international football tournaments in the world, the center forward scored both goals for FC Winterthur in the game against Torino XI, which secured the Swiss a place in the final. After this tournament, the two-footed striker switched to FC Torino at the end of the season, where he became one of the most dangerous strikers of the season worldwide with 20 goals in 14 games. In June 1910 he returned to his home club FC Winterthur.

Lang played two games for the Swiss national team in 1908 and 1909 . His first game was the second game of the Swiss national team and was played on March 8, 1908 against France and lost 2-1. His second game was - also the fourth game of the national team - on April 4, 1909 against Germany and was also lost with 0: 1.
