Jacques Reich was a Swiss football player (died July 20, 1945 ) who played football for FC Winterthur from at least 1905 to 1909 .

biography

Reich formed a successful storm duo at FC Winterthur after the rise in 1905 together with Georges Lang and was part of the championship team of 1906 and 1908, where he scored three of the four goals in the 4-1 win in the final against YB 1908. The 1905/06 championship was played through games by the regional champions of Eastern Switzerland (FC Winterthur), Central Switzerland (FC Young Boys Bern) and Western Switzerland (FC Servette Geneva). On April 22nd, Winterthur prevailed in Bern with 4-2 goals against Servette Geneva and on May 14th 1906 in Zurich with 5-2 goals against YB Bern. The final team formed with the players Addor; Müller, Sporrer; Jucker, Walter I, Frauenfelder; Hoffmann, Lang, Reich, Hermann, Walter II.

The 1907/08 championship was determined by the final on May 31, 1908 in Basel between the regional champions from Eastern Switzerland (FC Winterthur) and Western Switzerland (FC Young Boys Bern). In the 4-1 victory of the champions from Eastern Switzerland, the team played in the formation with Arbenz; Müller (Capt.), Hippenmeyer; Neuweiler, Walter I, Bachmann; Walter II, Hermann, Reich, Lang, Ehrensperger. Reich and colleagues lost the final on June 6, 1909 in Basel against YB Bern as defending champions with 0-1 goals.

Reich participated with his club colleagues Walter, Frenken and Lang on March 8, 1908 in Geneva in the second international match of the Swiss national team against France, which was lost 1: 2.

The Reich who last lived in Zurich died on July 20, 1945.
