Georgios Balakakis
Georgios Balakakis ( Greek Γεώργιος Βαλακάκης Georgios Valakakis ) was a Greek fencer who took part in the Summer Olympics in 1896 and the Intermediate Olympics in 1906 , both in Athens .
At the Olympic Games in 1896 he was in foil fencing after a 1: 3 defeat against Konstantinos Komninos-Miliotis , a 1: 3 defeat against Athanasios Vouros and a 1: 3 defeat against Eugène-Henri Gravelotte last in his preliminary round and in the overall standings Seventh.
At the interludes in 1906 he was fourth in epee fencing for teams with three other fencers after they had lost in the semifinals to the French team 9:11.
