Georgios Kalamidas

Georgios Kalamidas ( Greek Γεώργιος Καλαμίδας , * 1944 in Agrinio ) is a Greek lawyer. He was President of the Greek Supreme Court of Areopagus from July 2009 to June 2011 .

Kalamidas studied law at the University of Athens . He joined the judiciary in June 1972 and was promoted to Vice President of the Supreme Court in July 2007. By resolution of the Council of Ministers, he was appointed on July 2, 2009 to succeed Vasilis Nikopoulos as President of Areopagus.

Kalamidas is married and has one child.
