Georgios Paraskevopoulos

from Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

Georgios Paraskevopoulos ( Greek Γεώργιος Παρασκευόπουλος ) was a Greek cyclist who took part in the Summer Olympics in 1896 . Paraskevopoulos competed in the 12-hour race and the road race. He did not finish in the 12-hour race. His exact placement is therefore not known, the only thing that is certain is that he was not among the top two. In the road race from Athens to Marathon and back over a distance of 87 kilometers, his exact times are also not recorded, but here too he was unable to place among the top three starters. It is not even known whether he made it to the finish line or had to give up beforehand.
