Gerardo Esquivel (born January 13, 1966 in Mexico City ) is a retired Mexican soccer player who played in midfield .

Life

Esquivel completed his first professional appearance in the Mexican Primera División in the ranks of his "home club" Necaxa , with which he was under contract until the end of 1998 and with which he won three championship titles.

In early 1999 he moved to Puebla FC , where he was under contract for one season, but only appeared four times.

Between March 29, 1988 (8-0 against El Salvador) and April 26, 1988 (4-1 against Honduras) Esquivel completed three international appearances before being seven years later in the 4-0 debacle against the USA on June 18 1995 was allowed to wear the jersey of the Mexican national team for the fourth and last time .
