Gerd Kerkhoff

Gerd Kerkhoff (* 1958 in Essen ) is a German management consultant (special consultant for procurement), managing director of the Kerkhoff Group and author.

Life

Gerd Kerkhoff holds a degree in business administration and completed a degree in business administration at the University of Essen. His main fields of study were marketing , personnel and corporate management. From 1984 to 1999 he was part of the management of the Hubert Tempelmann coffee roasting company in Dorsten. As head of sales, he was responsible for the strategy of expanding market share through low prices. As a result, he also took over the purchasing management. This was followed by the expansion of the company into the second largest roasting company for private labels in Germany.

From 1987 to 1999 he was managing partner of the newly founded TeKe - the sales partner OHG. Here he was responsible for the purchasing and sales management of branded goods between retail companies. And in the also newly founded TeKe - die Beratung OHG as managing partner responsible for consulting mandates in procurement for companies. Since 1999 he has been a managing partner of Kerkhoff Consulting GmbH. The strategic orientation of the management consultancy aims to position itself as a specialist consultant for procurement. Since 2004 he has been the managing director of the ten foreign companies founded in succession. He is responsible for the expansion of the foreign companies and oversees the implementation of the consulting mandates and directs the senior area managers. Gerd Kerkhoff has been Chairman of the Management Board of the Kerkhoff Group, in which all Kerkhoff consulting companies are combined, since 2015. He coordinates the areas of finance, PR / marketing, services and investments. He is also managing director of the consulting company Kerkhoff Cost Engineering.

Science funding

On October 1, 2009, Kerkhoff Consulting and the University of St. Gallen founded the Kerkhoff Competence Center of Supply Chain Management (KCC) at the Chair of Logistics Management at the Swiss University of St. Gallen. To research trends and change processes in supply chain management (SCM). The aim is to create an interface between science and practice.
