The protected landscape component Buchenwald Rehberg with an area size of 3.9 hectares is located on the northwest slope of the Rehberg southeast of Berchum in the area of the independent city of Hagen in North Rhine-Westphalia . The LB was designated in 1994 with the landscape plan of the city of Hagen by the city council of Hagen.

Description according to the landscape plan: "It is mainly an old beech forest with a species-rich herb layer and a spring area."
Protection purpose
According to the landscape plan, the designation took place in particular:
- "To ensure the efficiency of the natural balance by maintaining a valuable old wood stock of particular importance as a habitat for endangered plant species as well as for small mammals, cave-breeding birds and dead wood-dwelling insects."
