Society for Photography

from Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

The Society for Photography is a registered association whose aim is to promote photography as a means of artistic expression.

The Society for Photography (GfF) emerged from the Society for Photography of the Kulturbund der GDR , which was founded on March 24, 1982, and was re-established as an association in Berlin in 1990. The GfF is a member of the successor association of the Kulturbund of the GDR, the Kulturbund e. V.

The GfF sees itself as an organization for those interested in photography, both from the field of professional photography and especially from amateur photography, which it sees as part of everyday culture and artistic education. National and international competitions, exhibitions and workshops are organized to promote photography.
