The Society for the Protection of Wolves (GzSdW) is a recognized non-profit association based in Großinzemoos (Bavaria). He tries to protect the wolves that have immigrated to Germany through on-the-spot education, cooperation with the public and non-public bodies involved, and through aid measures for the local population.

founding

The association was founded in 1991 by Elli H. Radinger , Günther Bloch and other colleagues. Elli H. Radinger and Günther Bloch were on the board of the association for around ten years.

target

Throughout Germany, society tries to defend the bad and, in its view, false reputation of the wolf by educating the population. B. can be changed by publishing information brochures about the ecological role of the wolf in nature:

  • To avoid damage to pets, the use of herd guard dogs is promoted as a natural "wolf-friendly" defense measure.
  • The association tries to improve the keeping of cages, which is important for educating the population.
  • A school program with teaching materials about wolves for teachers and an action booklet for pupils was developed.
  • The association publishes information through the press, radio and television. In addition, wolf enclosures, pet fairs, dog shows, etc. are visited with a mobile information stand.
  • Together with renowned speakers, the association organizes seminars, slide presentations and workshops.

Board

The first chairman is Peter Blanché, the second chairman is Peter Schmiedtchen and the office is in Rumeltshausen .

Association publications

In addition to various brochures and information materials, the association publishes pack news with information about wolves three times a year . There is also information about what is happening in the association.
