The Gewoba Emden Company for Construction and Housing Ltd. is a municipal housing company of the city of Emden with the primary operational purpose , a safe and socially responsible to provide housing supply for the Emden population. The company has more than 960 own apartments with a living and usable area of more than 55,000 m². There is also around 7,300 m² of commercial space. (As of 2018)
history
The company founded on January 21, 1939 as "Gemeinnützige Wohnungsbaugesellschaft Emden mbH" (GEWOBA) was renamed in November 1990 to "Gewoba Emden - Gesellschaft für Wohnen und Bauen mbH" due to the abolition of the Non-Profit Housing Act.
