The Ghana Technology University College (GTUC for short) in Tesano , Accra is a private university in Ghana . It is located on the road to Kumasi about six kilometers from the center of Accra. As Ghana Telecom University College , it was approved as a university by the National Accreditation Board in 2006. The official opening ceremony was held on August 15, 2006, attended by President John Agyekum Kufuor .
Since September 2006, Bachelor degrees in telecommunications engineering and information technology can be obtained here. A master’s degree in information and communication technology can also be obtained.
The university has faculties for computer science, engineering and IT economics and offers various accredited courses.
The GTUC has approximately 4,000 students.
