Life

Mesri studied civil engineering at the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign with a bachelor's degree in 1965 and a master's degree in 1966 and received his doctorate there in 1969. Afterwards he was professor for civil engineering and environmental technology, most recently as Ralph B. Peck professor .
