Ghost of the Robot is an American rock band.

Founding members include actor James Marsters (vocals and guitar), Charlie DeMars (guitar), his stepbrother Steven Sellers (keyboard, guitar), Kevin McPherson (bass) and Aaron Anderson (drums). Aaron temporarily left the band in January 2004 to work in a church mission in Mexico, Sean Hutchinson came to replace the band and became the new drummer.

The band played various live appearances in the USA, especially at 14 Below, and made a European tour in 2003 and 2004, during which they also performed in Germany.

In June 2004, James Marsters announced the breakup of the band, as he no longer had enough time to rehearse with the rest of the members, but did not want to slow down their musical development either. While James occasionally gives a concert by himself, the other band members have created the groups Gods of the Radio (actual title of the next album) and Power Animal , all of which have already recorded and released a new album.

Reconstruction (2010-present)

At the end of 2010 the band was rebuilt and on March 15, 2010 the new album B-Sider was released. Since the rebuilding, James Marsters' son, Sullivan Marsters, has sporadically supported the band as guitarist on some titles. The album Murphy's Law was released on December 6, 2011.
