Giant Dipper (also known as Mission Beach Roller Coaster ) in Belmont Park ( San Diego , California , USA ) is a wooden roller coaster , which opened on 4 July 1925th The railway was closed twice for longer periods: the first time from February 2, 1955 to 1956, the second time from December 1976 to August 10, 1990. It was also renamed several times. It was originally opened as the Giant Dipper , ran as a Roller Coaster from the 1950s to July 1976, and as the Earthquake from July 1976 to December 1976 .
The 793 m long route reaches a height of 22 m. Giant Dipper's trains have six cars each and are made by Morgan. Four people (two rows of two people) can be seated in each car.
