Gil Rogers

Gil Rogers (born February 4, 1934 in Lexington , Kentucky , United States ) is an American actor .

He made his film debut in 1961 in Explosion of Silence . He had his greatest success in the soap Springfield Story , in which he played the role of Hawk Shayne from 1985 to 1990. Since 1995 he has made regular guest appearances there, most recently in 2007. For his role as Uncle Ernest in Lonely in Manhattan , he won the “Special Jury Award” of the Kudzu Film Festival .

He and his wife Margaret Hall have a daughter named Amanda Hall Rogers , who is also an actress.
