The Gilera Nordwest / Nordcape is a supermoto from Gilera and comes from Italy . It was the first supermoto to hit the market in 1991 and was built until 1993.

history

The Gilera Nordwest / Nordcape was built after the trend arose in France in the 1980s of equipping enduro machines with road rims, chassis and tires. In the beginning, this type of motorcycle was still referred to as a fun bike. Gilera built a further development of an enduro with it. Usually only the engine and the frame are taken over. Chassis, wheels, casing, chassis geometry and seating position are changed and further developed at Supermotos.
