Giovanni González , full name Giovanni Alessandro González Apud , (born September 20, 1994 in Uruguay ) is a Uruguayan football player .
Career
The 1.75 meter tall defensive player González made his debut in the Apertura 2014 at River Plate Montevideo in the Primera División . His first appearance there was on September 13, 2014, when he was called into the starting line-up by coach Guillermo Almada in the 2-0 away defeat against Club Atlético Rentistas . In the 2014/15 season he played in a total of three top division games (no goal). During the 2015/16 season he appeared 14 times (no goal) in the league and six times (no goal) in the Copa Libertadores 2016 . In the 2016 season he played 13 league games (no goal). This was followed by another first division appearance (no goal) in the current 2017 season (as of February 11, 2017).
