The company Joh. Sprinz GmbH & Co. KG was founded in the year 1886 in the city center of Ravensburg and is today based near Grünkraut in the Ravensburg district . The company processes raw glass into high-quality special glass products and is one of the leading glass processors in Germany.

Company history

Founded by the glass master Johann Sprinz, the company was once a colonial trader and established itself as a full-service provider for everything to do with glass through the glass wholesale business.

The company's first headquarters were on Marienplatz in Ravensburg. In 1960 the company acquired a plot of land in Goethestrasse, where it had been based for over 40 years. Finally, in 2005, the company moved to its current location in Gullen-Grünkraut. In 2008 the company acquired a stake in the Euroglas glassworks near Magdeburg and celebrated its 130th anniversary in 2016. Today the medium-sized and owner-managed family company is run by the fourth generation.

Products

As early as 1948, the company was delivering 1.5 tons of glass a day with the first truck. Today, around 110 tons of raw glass are processed into shower partitions, mirror and kitchen cabinets, bathroom furniture, kitchen countertops and back walls, partition wall systems, glass doors, stairs, parapet glazing, exterior facades or other high-quality special glass products for indoor and outdoor use. Tempered safety glass, laminated safety glass and insulating glass are manufactured in the in-house production facilities and then finished with motifs, decors or water-repellent and slip-resistant surfaces. In the areas of glass printing and surface finishing, the company is one of the technologically leading market providers in Germany.

The products can be made to measure and are "Made in Germany" from the raw material to the end product.
