Gliese 611 ( Gl 611 , GJ 611 ) is a star in the constellation Corona Borealis with a potential companion located around 70 arc seconds to the west with very similar proper motion. It has not been conclusively clarified whether the two stars form a physical system or whether it is a random arrangement.

The star, which is significantly brighter with an apparent magnitude of 6.7, is also referred to as Gliese 611 A , HD 144579 or HIP 78775 and is a main sequence star of the spectral class G8. The weaker star Gliese 611 B ( Giclas 180-27 ) is a low-metal star of the spectral class M4 and has an apparent visual magnitude of about 14 mag.
