Glindes- / Bokelsessermoor

from Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

Glindes- / Bokelsessermoor is a raised bog area in the districts of Steinburg and Pinneberg in Schleswig-Holstein . The typical boggy landscape was lost through peat extraction, drainage and cultivation for livestock farming. Renaturation measures are sometimes taking place. In the fen grassland area, the main objective is to maintain a meadow bird population and other bird species typical of bog, such as B. the short-eared owl or the Montagu's Harrier .
