GlobalTrade.net is an internet business platform operated by FITA Online, the online services division of the Association of International Trade Associations , the United States Trade Service , UK Trade & Investment Hong Kong Trade Development Council (HKTDC), ThomasNet, Alibaba.com and Compass . GlobalTrade.net was launched on November 15th, 2010.

Participants can create or view profiles and establish contacts. The service provider categories include legal service providers, trade promotion organizations, transport and logistics, tax and accounting, marketing and communication, sales and marketing, and travel service providers.

The website is also a knowledge resource in which participants can publish their own content (e.g. analyzes, market surveys, tips, country profiles, expert opinions, webinars, newsflows, video tutorials); these are editorially supervised. Reports from various organizations and national market surveys on the subject of foreign trade can also be viewed.

Market position

Dynamic B2B services of various categories are offered by companies such as Companéo and Quotatis (active in France and in selected European countries), BuyerZone (USA) and QuinStreet (USA). In all of these marketplaces, however, leads are only offered at the state level. Although Companéo and Quotatis are present in several European countries, they only have one website per country. The international B2B trade service is actually a niche market, and GlobalTrade.net is currently the only market portal that brings service providers and trading companies around the world closer.
