Global Ecology and Conservation is a peer-reviewed ecological journal with free access for readers ( Open Access ). Editor-in-chief has been Richard T. Corlett of the Center for Integrative Conservation of the Xichuangbanna Tropical Botanical Garden of the Chinese Academy of Sciences since 2014. The journal for nature conservation biology and biodiversity conservation is published by Elsevier . The magazine is only available in electronic form, there is no printed edition. Unlike the readers, authors have to pay for the papers they publish.
GECCO prints articles from sub-disciplines of nature conservation biology: organismic ecology, population community and ecosystem ecology; Behavioral Ecology and Applied Conservation. The journal publishes scientific foundations in the form of articles, case studies, reviews, and short messages. Authors have the possibility to link their articles online with various tools ( Google Maps , AudioSlides, interactive diagrams and database links).
