Glyconic stanza

from Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

The so-called Glyconian stanza is a four-line stanza form from Aeolian verses in the ancient verse , which, according to tradition, is named after the otherwise largely unknown poet Glykon . It consists of three glycones (2nd form) and a final pherekrateus (2nd form), which can also be interpreted as a catalectic glyconeus. The stanza scheme is in metric notation :

As a (self-referential) example of a replica in German:

The ses When play is only he thought
to the Sche ma to zei gen and
en det friend Lich with egg nem Greeting
at the ler nenden Le ser.
