Goñi , also Estación Goñi , is a town in Uruguay .
geography
It is located in the north-western part of the Florida Department in Sector 11 near the border with the neighboring department of Durazno . The Arroyo Batoví and the Arroyo Sauce de Villanueva rise to the northwest of the town in the Cuchilla de Maciel . A few kilometers south-southeast is Puntas de Maciel . The Arroyo del Avance and the Arroyo Sauce de Oroño have their sources between these two villages .
Infrastructure
Goñi, through which there is also a railway line, is on Ruta 5 .

The population of Goñis is 246 (as of 2011), 122 of them male and 124 female.
