Godescalcus (Provost)
Godescalcus (also: Godescalc, Gottschalk) (* around 1190; † around 1248) was the first provost of the Uetersen monastery . He was previously pastor in Krempe and was recalled by the knight Heinrich II von Barmstede from Krempe and transferred to the monastery in Uetersen . He was first mentioned in a deed of gift in 1240. There is evidence that he carried out this office until 1242. He probably died around 1248, his successor was Bruno .
