Golf Marshal

from Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

A marshal in golf is an organ that guarantees course control (not to be confused with a referee: referee), regulates the flow of play on the golf course and ensures compliance with the house rules and course rules.
In addition to starting tournaments, one of the tasks is to ensure compliance with etiquette during the game and the players and to provide first aid in an emergency .
No special training is required to be a marshal, but golf experience should be a mandatory requirement. There are also seminars, e.g. B. by the BGV, which give the marshal more professionalism.
