A golf bag (English golf bag ) is a portable storage option for golf clubs . There are portable golf bags (carry bags), which are carried around the shoulder, and which are partly provided with flat floors or supports to stand on, and cart bags, which are intended to be mounted on a small pushable trolley .

Characteristic

The portable golf bag weighs between three and six kilograms, while the standing golf bag is more voluminous and therefore weighs more. The equipment is characterized by:

  • Multiple pockets for jackets, balls, drinks, etc.
  • Stand that folds out when the golf bag is put down (only for portable golf bags)
  • Compartments that should allow the player to sort the clubs
  • Loops that are used to carry the bag

A bag called a "pencil bag" is slimmer, has fewer (4-6) club slots and is lighter.
