GomSpace

GomSpace is a Danish manufacturer of nanosatellites . The company builds satellites for scientific, commercial and government purposes.

GomSpace supplies customers in over 50 countries and works closely with ESA in the development of nanosatellite formations.

The company is developing an arctic satellite relay for tactical communication radios in polar low-earth orbit for the Norwegian state. GomSpace is developing a nanosatellite with the Norwegian Defense Research Institute (FFI) for better communication between the Norwegian armed forces at high latitudes. The planned satellite will have a low polar orbit and serve as a relay station for military communications. A test satellite is said to fly over northern Norway up to 15 times a day. The cooperation has a volume of 1.8 million euros. The launch of a test satellite is planned for October 2021.
