Under Good Agricultural And Collection Practice ( engl. : "Good practice for the collection and cultivation of medicinal plants" , acronym : GACP ) refers to guidelines for quality assurance in the production of vegetable raw materials, the plant for the production of medicines are to be used.

The aim of this guideline is to ensure a high and constant quality of the plant material and the medicinal products made from it.

GACP guideline

For herbal medicinal products , the collection or cultivation of the plant material represents the first step in the production of medicinal products. The GACP guideline closes the gap between activities in the field and industrial processing to produce medicinal products, which are based on the principles of the GMP guidelines, i.e. the Good Manufacturing Practice , has to be done. The GACP guideline is structured as follows:
