Gräsö is the name of an island in the Baltic Sea and at the same time the name of the main town on the island.
The island belongs to the municipality of Östhammar and is located off the east coast of mainland Sweden in the province of Uppsala County . The island can be reached by ferry from Öregrund . The inhabitants of the island live from agriculture and especially from tourism. In summer, up to 10,000 visitors are counted on the weekends, mainly in the numerous summer houses. In the north of the island is the small island of Örskär .
