Moose Gustav in the park

Grönåsens Älgpark is an animal park in the Swedish city Kosta .

The park operated by Grönåsens Älgpark AB focuses on the moose typical of Sweden .

The park, which is only accessible between Easter and All Saints' Day , consists of large, natural, forested enclosures in which several moose are kept. A 1.3-kilometer hiking trail leads through the area. Visitors can look out over the enclosures from several observation towers.

In addition to moose, pigs, goats, chickens and rabbits are also kept. Access to the park, which is heavily geared towards non-Swedish tourists and requires entry , is via a so-called moose shop , in which moose products, such as sausages made from moose meat, and souvenirs are offered on 220 m². There are also two holiday homes, barbecue areas and a museum on the topic of moose.
