Graaff Baronets

Graaff Baronet , of Cape Town , in the Cape of Good Hope Province of the Union of South Africa , is a hereditary British baronet title in the Baronetage of the United Kingdom . The title represents one of twelve British baronetcies whose territorial dedication refers to South Africa.

The title was awarded to the South African businessman and politician David Pieter de Villiers Graaff on February 6, 1911 . At the time, he was Minister of Public Works, Posts and Telegraphs for the South African Union . On his father's side he came from the De Graeff family , on his mother's side from the De Villiers family . Today's title holder has been his great-grandson as 4th Baronet since 2015.
