Location of Graf-Ignatiew-Strasse in the center of Sofia

Graf-Ignatiew-Strasse ( Bulgarian улица Граф Игнатиев / uliza Graf Ignatiew, colloquially Bulgarian Графа , the Graf ) is one of the most important streets in the center of the Bulgarian capital Sofia , named after the famous Russian diplomat Count Nikolai Pavlovich Ignatiev . It is 1.2 km long, runs south of the boulevard Tsar Oswoboditel , approximately parallel to it and borders on the boulevard Evlogij Georgiev in the east (its extension is the boulevard Dragan Zankow ), and on the Alabin street in the west. Graf-Ignatiew-Straße crosses Rakowski-Straße and Boulevard Wassil Lewski (formerly Boulevard Marschal Tolbuchin ).

The Patriarch Ewtimij -Platz and Slaveikov Square are located on this road. Several tram lines run along the street. Shortly after the liberation of Bulgaria (1878) it was named Samokowska Street because its southeast extension was the highway to Samokow . The street has been a pedestrian zone since April 26, 2007 .
