This park across national borders was promoted by Mozambique as a free Limpopo National Park in November 2001. This led to border conflicts in a tourist park being resolved. In this park there is also the Giriyondo Access Facility , which allows access to the Kruger National Park .
Since it is a park that extends beyond the borders of Mozambique, it is counted among the Peace Parks .
