The Sławatycze-Damatschawa border crossing on the Polish - Belarusian border is located in the Sławatycze municipality in the Powiat Bialski , Lublin Voivodeship . It connects the Polish national road 63 and the Belarusian road P94 near Damachava .

history

During the existence of the Soviet Union on January 24, 1986, the Polish-Soviet agreement to simplify the border crossing of Sławatycze-Domačzewo began to work. Border protection authorities carried out border and customs clearance. The Sławatycze-Domačzewo border crossing was originally created only for simplified border traffic. In 1994, thanks to an agreement between the Government of the Republic of Poland and the Government of the Republic of Belarus, a public border post was established that was open 24 hours a day. From then on, the transport of people was allowed regardless of their nationality, of means of transport and goods. All bus traffic was excluded. As of December 10, 2001, the approval of trucks was extended to 3.5 tonnes total weight, with the exception of goods subject to the TIR procedure and local border traffic. The border crossing is operated by the border guard in Sławatycze . From July 1, 2013, a pilot program was introduced for 6 months for buses and vehicles with a total weight of up to 7.5 tons.

Due to the Ukraine crisis and the sanctions imposed by the EU on the Russian Federation, the Russian Federation imposed an entry ban on EU citizens via Belarus.

  • When traveling on to Russia, make sure you have a valid visa for Russia.
  • The handling time is min. 2 to 4 hours. In the case of additional handling of large goods transports, the handling time can increase to over 6 to 7 hours.
