Grimaldi immigrated to Sweden from Italy in the 1950s, worked at Volvo , founded a garage in 1970, from which Grimaldis Mekaniska Verkstad emerged , and bought his first company in 1970. Today the group includes numerous traditional bicycle brands across Europe such as Bianchi, Monark, Crescent, Puch, Gitane and Kildemoes.
