Great Synagogue (Bels)

The Great Synagogue in Bels , a city in Lviv Oblast in western Ukraine , was built in 1834 on the initiative of Rabbi Shalom Rokeach , the founder of the Belz dynasty .

The synagogue in oriental style was in 1942 during the Second World War, blown up by the German occupiers.
