Grand Hospitaller of the Order of Malta
Großhospitalier is one of the four high offices of the Order of Malta and is assigned to a professed or obedient knight .

The Grand Hospitaller is elected by the Sovereign Council with a simple majority.
tasks
The large hospitalier has the duties of a minister for health, social affairs and humanitarian international cooperation.
The major hospitaller coordinates and monitors the charitable aid measures and medical and humanitarian activities of the orders of the priories and national associations worldwide and ensures that Christian principles are upheld.
He is supported in this by an advisory board of order members who come from the countries in which the order is active.
