Blücher pit (Gleißen)
The Blücher mine was an alum ore mine in Gleißen, today's Glisno (Lubniewice) in Poland . In the neighboring Himberg mountains, the ridge is mainly formed by a lignite formation. A bituminous seam of alum ore can also be found in the south-westerly dipping deposit in the cold ground in individual narrow lines . The most important camp is in the vicinity of the Blücher Pit and the neighboring Wellington Pit .
